Dog Treats
Beef Biscuits
- 2 and a half cups whole wheat flour
- 6 tablespoons bacon fat
or margarine
- Half cup powdered
milk
- 1 small jar strained beef
or lamb broth (baby food)
- 1
teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoon
water
- 1 egg
Mix ingredients. Knead 3
minutes. Dough should
form a ball. Roll out half
inch thick. Cut into dog bones
(or other shaped cookie
cutter). Bake on lightly-greased cookie
sheet for 30 minutes at 350
degrees Fahrenheit.
Doggie Delights
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 6 tablespoons bacon fat or margarine
- Quarter cup wheat
germ
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Half cup powdered milk
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- Quarter teaspoon garlic powder
- approximately half cup
of water
Combine dry ingredients.
Blend in fat or margarine.
Add egg and molasses.
Mix thoroughly. Add enough
water to form a dough ball.
Roll out quarter inch thick and
cut into dog bones (or other
shaped cookie cutter). Place on greased cookie
sheet. Bake for 20 minutes
at 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Makes between 30-40 cookies.
