Happy Ending Stories

Miracles and Happy Endings!

Sometimes there really are miracles and happy endings! On New Year's Eve morning I got a call from a man in Manteca who somehow received my emails about Charolette. Just one day earlier, his 12 year old daughter, Gina, had written her parents a passionate letter about why she desperately wanted a dog! The very next day, my email appeared in their mailbox!! Imagine that! They were moved by Charolette's story and fell in love with her sweet online photo. They came to my house to meet her on Wednesday! It was love at first sight and Charolette now has a new home with a wonderful family!!!

We still don't know how the Gibbs family got my email, but one of you on my email list must have forwarded it to them. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!...whoever you are! The Gibbs have been around pit bulls all their lives and understand the breed. I heard from them this morning and they adore Charolette already! They are going to take her to obedience school and really devote the time and attention she deserves!

Charolette went through a lot, but in the end, she found the family she was meant to be with through a series of unlikely coincidences! Every night for three weeks, I wished for Charolette to find a good home. I cried and agonized over the situation because I knew we couldn't keep her, but I couldn't bare to take her to the shelter. This is truly the happy ending I dreamed of!

Hopefully this in an omen for good things ahead in 2007! Happy New Year to all of you, my dear friends and family! Thank you for helping me place Charolette!

Love,
Lucia

P.S. I'm attaching a picture of Charolette with her new Mom, Gina!
