General Facilities/Property Management Information

Facilities and Real Property Management is the operational arm of the Department of General Services. Its primary business is to manage City owned assets, construct City buildings, and to provide maintenance and repair of City facilities.

Mission Statement

With emphasis on public and employee safety, excellent customer service and efficiency, we provide high quality and cost effective Facilities and Real Property Management services for City facilities. Working with a customer first attitude, our employees aim to be recognized as the best providers of facilities services by partnering with our customers and fellow employees to provide value added comprehensive services that benefit the taxpayers of Sacramento. Core Services

The Facilities and Real Property Management Division provides core services through Asset Management, Architects and Engineers and Facilities Maintenance sections. The division is responsible for over 1800 land parcels and over 400 buildings and structures.

Graffiti Abatement Program

The City of Sacramento is taking action to wipe out graffiti and clean up crime. The General Services Department, Neighborhood Services and Police Departments are working together to manage a first-rate Graffiti Abatement Program in Sacramento. The City is working to keep neighborhoods clean and attractive through various activities including removal programs, educational outreach, community involvement and police enforcement.
