The City's Department of Parks & Recreation manages more land assets than any other City department, and

Urban Forest |

Urban Forestry Service provides tree care service for the City's public trees. Public
trees include street trees (tree within planter strips or the area between the sidewalk and the curb),
trees in city parks, and trees on city property. Urban Forestry Service, under the authority of the
Sacramento city Code, also protects heritage trees on both public and private property.
