Sacramento TMA - Commuter Club

The Sacramento Transportation Management Association (TMA) is an independent, non-profit association, helping commuters find alternatives to driving alone to work since 1989. Together we can address transportation and air quality issues with programs and services that are more comprehensive, cost-effective and successful than any individual effort could be.

Through its participation in the Sacramento Transportation Management Association the City of Sacramento offers Commuter Club, an online commute program that offers commute information, incentives and prizes.

All employees are eligible to participate, whether you drive alone, take transit, carpool, vanpool, bicycle or walk to work.

Commuter Club offers the following:

  • Emergency Ride Home. Commuters that take transit, carpool, or bicycle can download a Voucher that pays their taxi or rentacar if they have an emergency or unscheduled overtime and don't have a car at work.
  • A Commute Diary. Log your commute trips and track your carbon footprint and your contribution to reducing air pollution during Sacramento's Spare the Air summer smog season.
  • Weekly drawings. Commuters that keep a weekly commute diary are eligible to spin the prize wheel and may win coffee cards, movie passes or a chance to spin the Big Prize Wheel in December. (This past December, more than $5,000 was won in random spins in amounts of $25, $50, $100 and $500.)
  • Information. Website pages of information on commute alternatives, carpool partners, vanpool seats, bicycle commute help, transit schedules and more.

To register, please visit www.sacramento-tma.org, then click on Commuter Club and fill out the registration information sheet that appears. Under employer name, find your employer in the dropdown list.
