Purpose

NRT Boundaries

The Neighborhood Response Team is divided into geographic zones. NRT Zones are arranged by Neighborhood Service Area and were designed to prevent the division of existing neighborhood associations and business corridors. Boundaries were also designed to produce equitable caseloads in each Zone.

NRT Structure

Zone Team

Includes all interested individuals, neighborhood associations, business associations, etc. within the Zone boundary that choose to participate. The Zone Team meets once a month to prioritize cases for their zone. The time and location of the meeting is determined by the Zone Team.

Zone Captain

Chosen by the Zone Team to represent the Zone at monthly NRT meetings conducted by the Neighborhood Services Department. At the NRT meeting each Zone Captain receives feedback from City staff members on current cases. The Zone Captain determines whether to remove or leave current cases. When cases are removed, the Zone Captain is able to add new cases to the NRT Log.

Reporters

Reports violations to Zone Team members. The Zone Team reviews the reported violations and prioritizes cases for presentation at NRT meetings.

Case Load

In order to effectively manage the cases and maintain meaningful progress, each NRT Zone can have a limited number of active cases each month. Cases that are received by the Zone Team and are not determined to be one of the top priorities should be reported through the normal process established by each city department.
