The 4th “R” is Recreation

The program stresses the importance of recreation as part of the everyday
experience for children in the program.Our basic philosophy: To provide a safe, well supervised and enjoyable atmosphere where school-age children and their families can learn and experience lifetime leisure skills.In planning for both group and individual needs, the uniqueness of each child is always considered. The activities at The 4th “R” are all designed to meet the children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical development.Respect for and sensitivity to diversity are crucial to The 4th “R” Program. We believe a program that stresses positive self-esteem is non-bias and respects cultural, gender and developmental diversity. It is child-centered, age appropriate and meets the individual needs of each child. It is integrated into everyday activities vital to the positive emotional, physical and intellectual development of each child.
