Sacramento, California, February 6, 2004 – The March meeting of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for Parks and Recreation is meeting on Thursday, March 4, 2004, 7 p.m. at the Ethel MacLeod Hart Senior Center, located at 915 27th Street.

The Citizen’s Advisory Committee for Parks and Recreation, an advisory body appointed by the City Council, serves as a bridge between the community and the Department of Parks and Recreation. The Committee works with staff to review and develop policies to improve and enhance facilities and programs throughout the City.

The Committee is comprised of 14 volunteer members representing one of the City's eleven Planning Areas and three members serving as "at large." Other Committee members’ duties include reviewing and approving new park master plans, approving park and facility names and overseeing the implementation and update of the Department of Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The community is invited to attend all meetings of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for Parks
