Parks and Recreation Commission to Hear
Parking Plan for William Land Park


Sacramento, California, August 22, 2005 – Several important agenda items will be heard at the September meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission, including a staff report from the Department of Transportation about the parking plan for William Land Park.

The Parks and Recreation Commission is an advisory body to the Sacramento City Mayor and Council and the City of Sacramento's Department of Parks and Recreation. The Commission provides a forum for public input and conducts public hearings on parks and recreation matters, making recommendations on policies, projects and other matters pertaining to parks, recreation, trees, urban forest, and human services affecting the City of Sacramento.

The Parks and Recreation Commission meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2005. The location is 1231 I Street, First Floor.
