4th “R” Program Celebrates 20 Years of Fun

Saturday, May 20, 2006, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Granite Regional Park,
Power Inn Road and Cucamonga Avenue


Sacramento, California, May 18, 2006 – The 4th “R” School Age Child Care Program will celebrate its 20th Anniversary of service this Saturday. More than 1,000 children, families, and even alumni, some of whom have their children in the program, are expected to attend the party and celebration. The celebration will be held at Granite Regional Park, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., including free lunch for everyone. There will be interactive booths representing all sorts of themes and eras, as well as individual displays from each of the 4th “R” sites.

Conveniently located at 24 locations, including many elementary school campuses, the 4th “R” offers year-round childcare for Kindergarten through 6th grade children, in a safe, well-supervised, comfortable, and supportive environment.

In operation since June 1986, the 4th “R” introduces children to a variety of recreational activities while providing a well-planned, nurturing environment that promotes healthy development of the child. Qualified staff provides a wide variety of group and individual activities to enhance the child’s physical, social and emotional development
