Small Public Places Workshop

Sacramento, California, May 5, 2006 – An important workshop will be held Monday evening, May 8, 2006 to develop a common vision for the purpose and nature of small public places in high density areas of Sacramento and to discuss the role of these “urban plazas” in the City’s parks and recreation system. City staff will use input from the public to develop any needed changes to current City policies, plans or guidelines for these types of public facilities as our City continues to grow.

Also, this subject matter will be brought before a special meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 7 p.m., 915 I Street. Citizens interested in this subject are invited to attend.
