Natomas Community Center and Library Tops Off
Saturday, April 14, 2001, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., 2901 Truxel Road

Sacramento, California, April 12, 2001 - The Natomas Community Center and Library, now under construction, is drawing closer to completion. The Natomas community is invited to attend the "topping off" celebration, which will include on-site tours of the facility on Saturday, April 14, 2001, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The "topping off" event, which places the last piece of exterior material atop the building, symbolizes years of City effort and community involvement to create the Natomas Community Center and Library. City officials and community leaders will take part in this event. Construction of the long-awaited community center and library will continue through the summer with the facility expected to be open this fall.

The event is brought to the community by the Department of Parks and Recreation, Department of Public Works, Department of Neighborhood Services and the Sacramento Public Library.
