Hart Senior Center LogoIf you are looking for extra support, resources, or are newly retired and just need a little assistance, the Hart Senior Center is here to help. We have many supportive services that are designed to aid people just like you! If you or someone you know needs assistance, please contact our Social Services Coordinator, Maria Lueras, at (916) 808-7324 for help in finding solutions and resources.

Triple “R” Respite Program

The Triple “R” Adult Day Program offers companionship and a safe, caring environment to family members with memory problems and frailty. The center is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Contact Melissa Arris at (916) 808-8375 for more information.

ARMS (Assistance, Referral, & More for Seniors)

If you need help filling out forms, have concerns with Social Security, Medicare or other benefits, or have any other questions about health, housing, or finances, contact our Information and Assistance Specialist for help. For more information call (916) 808-7324.

55-Alive Mature Driving Course

If you’re over 50 and would like a refresher course in driver’s safety, are interested in learning about physical changes as you age that are related to driving, and reduce your chance of injury in a traffic accident, check out the AARP’s Driver’s Safety Program.   • Caregivers’ Support Group- Fourth Fridays 9:30 a.m.
  • Larengectomee Support Group- First Sundays 1 p.m., Free
  • “TOPS” (Taking off Pounds Sensibly) - Thursdays 7:45-8:45 a.m.

Free On-Site Services

  • Brown Bag Pharmacy- First Wednesdays 12-1 p.m.
  • Forms Assistance – Tuesdays 10 a.m.
  • HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program) – First, Third, and Fourth Monday mornings
  • Hire-a-Senior job counseling – First Thursdays 11a.m. -1p.m.
