Lewis Park Picnic Improvements Community Meeting Notes from October 3rd, 2007

1. The preferred location for the picnic area is in the vicinity of the existing picnic area, play area and baseball field. The community thought it might work on the north side of the sidewalk under 3 trees, near existing picnic area, however, upon a site visit after meeting, tree roots preclude this location. Locating it between the existing picnic area and the play area was determined to be the best location.

2. Remove existing trellis over picnic tables. Remove the tables. Retain the BBQ. Install 2 new tables on existing concrete pad.

3. Locate 6 tables at new location so there are 2 separate picnic areas.

4. The color of shade structure shall be green, similar to the Lewis Didion Gymnasium, with stone veneer columns.

5. Due to lack of attendance, a second community meeting will be held in 3 weeks.

6. A new drinking fountain was requested.
