March 11 Minutes
The purpose of the March 11th public meeting was to:

  • Present the previously approved Regional Park Master Plan to the general public and gain feedback on the priorities of phasing of the master plan.
  • Present the proposed Phase one which includes a bikeway, bridge crossing to North Park drive and approximately 10 acres of additional landscape improvements (option A and Option B)
  • To gain valuable public input- Attendees were asked to fill out comment cards to help the City prioritize:

- Phasing of park amenities,
- Phase one development preferences
- Park Name suggestions
- Other comments

The meeting started at 9am on March 11th at Inderkum High School and approximately 140 community members attended.

General Background: The North Natomas Regional Park master plan was approved in 2001; currently the City is prioritizing the phasing of the park development so they can focus their fund-raising efforts. Phase One development is funded at this time.

The undeveloped section of the Regional Park is 172 acres and will serve the larger Sacramento community and therefore will contain larger and more expensive amenities such as: an Aquatics Center, an Amphitheater, a Family Center and a Themed Playground. The Regional Park is anticipated to be built over the next 25-30 years

Comments are still being collected until June 15th- All comments are being recorded, the comments will be used to help the City develop

  • a phasing plan to be presented at the next planning workshop on June 14th at Inderkum High School
  • The Phase one master plan
