Regional Park Master Plan with Legend

Currently, 47.30 acres has been developed at North Natomas Regional Park, including a lake, landscaping, dog parks, bridges, walkways, and bikeways adjacent to the detention basin and drainage canals.

Phase 4 was opened in November 2013, and includes the following:

  • One 200’ Youth Softball field
  • One 200’ Little League Field
  • One 300’ Senior Baseball field
  • Group picnic area with shade structure and one large and two small group grills, tables for 64 people, and additional serving table
  • Parking lot (164 spaces) with automatic locking gates
  • Baseball-themed Adventure Area playground with shade canopy cover and separate Swing Area
  • Water Spay Area (Open Memorial Day through Labor Day)
  • Low water and low maintenance landscaping and trees with seasonal interest; solar-powered
  • Security cameras and solar self-compacting trash receptacles
  • Central plaza with tables and shade trees
  • All-Star Memorial Plaza dedicated to Dylan Marshall Akins with seating and enhanced pavement

Phase 5 will develop the additional 12.5 acres. Construction is expected to begin in late summer 2014 and be completed spring 2015. Schedule is subject to change due to rain and seasonal weather. Improvements will include the following:

  • Farmer’s market (shade structures covering paved stalls, electrical outlets, benches, landscaping, and shade trees)
  • Senior softball field (300’)
  • Youth little league field (200’)
  • Additional parking lot (108 spaces)
  • Stage at existing lawn amphitheater for outdoor concerts
  • Great Meadow (5-acre open space for outdoor events)
  • Additional picnic tables and site furniture
  • Low water and low maintenance landscaping and shade trees with seasonal interest
