Regency Community Park Master Plan

North Natomas Community, 5500 Honor Parkway - Mapquest Map

This is a 42.6 acre joint-use park/detention basin opened in spring 2005. Phase one of the park consists of 15 acres of park development and an additional 20 acres of detention basin landscaping.

Phase One

The following amenities were included in Phase One: Also, See Phase Two

  • group picnic area with shelter
  • tot lot
  • adventure play aera
  • skate park
  • 2 baseball fields
  • 2 volleyball courts
  • bicycle trail
  • 1 soccer field
  • disc golf course (nine hole)
  • restroom
  • parking lot

Phase Two completed development of the park. Phase Two opened to the public in December 2007, including:

  • fully accessible playground with an interactive water mister
  • group picnic area with a decorative arbor,
  • seating areas, walkways, and landscaping
  • bridge structure with a walkway from Bombay Circle into the park
  • Large Dog Park
  • Small Dog Park
  • Soccer Field

Note that the Phase Two 2-acre dog park and soccer field are fenced for turf establishment.  These areas will  open in spring 2008.

Phase Two

The new picnic area is at the northern end of the park, west of the existing elementary school.  Please see maps below.  This is an unsheltered picnic area with 4 picnic tables, one BBQ grill, one drinking fountain and one trash can.
