Shasta Park Master Plan

Shasta Community Park is a 19.6-acre community park and will include the 20,000 s.f. Valley Hi/North Laguna Library.  The library, its associated drop off-area, and 78-spaces of the parking lot  and phase one of the park will begin construction in spring 2008 and will be completed by summer 2009.

• Landscape development of 13 acres of library and park
• Off-street parking lot
• Regulation soccer field
• Softball field
• Tetherball
• Two horseshoe courts
• Volleyball court
• Walkways and jogging trail with exercise stations
• Two children’s playgrounds (based on storybook themes)
• Large group picnic area with two shade structures
• Individual picnic areas
• Water Mister Area
• Restroom
• Outdoor reading area
• Pathway lighting
• Public artwork.

• Two lighted tennis courts

• Youth basketball court

• Neighborhood skate park

• Continuation of the walking and jogging trails

• Outdoor wedding area with garden

• Shasta Avenue street improvements. 

  
  

Phase 3 will include the community center (20,000 s.f.) and sports field lighting. Phase 3 is not funded at this time and no schedule has been identified.
