Construction on this 10.6-acre community park will begin in spring 2010 and will be completed in spring 2011.
Valley Oak Park will include the following amenities:
- Bantam Soccer Fields (2)/Multipurpose Turf Area
- Landscape development of the entire site with low maintenance and water-saving native trees and plants
- Basketball Courts (1 youth and 2 adult)
- Tot Lot and Adventure Area (Nature-themed with boulders and rock climbing wall)
- Water Mister Area
- Group Picnic Area with Shade Structure
- Volleyball Courts (2)
- Fitness Stations (4)
- California Native Garden with interpretive signage and plant identification labels
- Bikeway
- Individual Picnic Areas
- Restroom Lighted Tennis Courts
- Small (1-acre) and Large (3-acre) Dog Parks
- Pathway Lighting
- Seating Area
- Public Artwork (12’ red granitic sandstone sculpture of animals that rely on the Valley Oak for food and nesting)
