Johnston Community Center
is a modern-looking clubhouse newly remodeled in 1993. It is located in
Johnston Park adjacent to the Johnston swimming pool, a few blocks from
El Camino and Norwood Avenues.
Named after Carl Johnston, founder of North Sacramento,
the surrounding land was donated on his behalf by the North Sacramento
Land Company and was annexed to the City in 1964. Various social programs
are offered on a continuing basis. A small activity room which can be
divided from the main room, and a kitchen are available. There is a small
parking lot as well as on-street parking. See also Johnston

Meeting Room: Best for large meetings, activities,
classes, banquets and receptions.
Craft Room: Best for small meetings or activities

Kitchen: Contains stove, dishwasher, 3 stainless
sinks. Use of refrigerator upon request. Kitchen has a serving counter
with roll-top door.
Amenities: Available upon request, 100-cup coffee
pot, PA system.
