Sacramento Youth Commission
The
Sacramento City Youth Commission was established by the Sacramento City
Council to serve as an advisory group to provide recommendations on youth
related issues in Sacramento. The Commission provides youth an opportunity
to participate in the policy making process and provides a forum for the
exchange of ideas, needs and concerns related to youth. The Youth Commission
meets bi-weekly, from 6-8pm. Commissioners are between the ages of 14-19
and reside or attend school in the city of Sacramento.
Contact cdemoss@cityofsacramento.org about the Commission.

Are you between the ages of
14 and 19? Would you like to contribute to decisions that affect
the youth in your community? If so, we invite you to submit an application
to serve on the Sacramento City Youth Commission.
The
Sacramento City Council established the Sacramento Youth Commission,
in order to advise them on youth-related policies. Since then, we
have addressed many issues that concern Sacramento's youth: alcohol
and drug awareness, graffiti, skateboard parks and more. We have
also established an annual Scholarship Award and a Coat and Blanket
Drive.
