Information

General Clerical Test

If you are interested in applying for Account Clerk, Police Clerk, Typist Clerk, or Police Records Assistant and still need to take the General Clerical test, please come to an upcoming monthly test.

Seats are limited -- you must register prior to the test date to secure a seat by calling (916) 808-5726 on the first business day of that month from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Test dates and locations.

A photo I.D. is required for entrance into the exam. Exam check-in begins 15 minutes prior to exam time. Please allow 2 and 1/2 hours.

Typing Test Information

For typing test information at the City of Sacramento call (916) 808-5726. There is no fee for this typing test, but you must register in advance.
