Panhandle Annexation Project

Summary

The City of Sacramento is initiating the annexation of an approximately 1,425-acre area known as the Panhandle, located in an unincorporated peninsula of county land along the northern border of the City of Sacramento. City Council Resolution 2000-734, adopted December 12, 2000, initiated the proposed annexation as part of the implementation program for the North Natomas Community Plan.

Part of the annexation process will include the consideration of amendments to the North Natomas Community Plan for the area of undeveloped land located north of Del Paso Road. The City will work with the property owners and adjacent neighbors to develop a master plan for the area that best integrates with existing development and maximizes the amenities of the area.
