The South 65th Street Area Plan is a land use plan for approximately 107 acres covering the area North of San Joaquin Road; South of the Highway 50 corridor; East of Kroy Way and 65th Street; and West of the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks.
The plan encourages transit supportive mixed land uses for the area south of the 65th Street Light Rail Station and is intended to provide for a mix of housing types, promote residential and commercial mixed use development opportunities to support light rail ridership, improve pedestrian circulation and access to light rail, and reinforce the connection between the California State University, Sacramento, the 65th Street Station, and properties located south of Highway 50.
