Notice: Small Business Enterprise Definition Change

On July 2, 2007, The City Manager's Office approved changes to the definition of a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), which is used to determine eligibility to participate in the City's Emerging and Small Business Program. This change increases the dollar threshold for eligibility from $10,000,000 to $12,000,000 in annual gross receipts. As a result, a firm earning less than $36,000,000 over a three-year period may now qualify as an SBE and any associated bid preferences associated with this classification. For additional information, please view the small business section of our website or contact the Procurement Division at 916-808-6240.
