Officer comes to rescue of needy girl
As a result of a call for service, Officer Victor Wolfe discovered a 6-year-old girl whose family had fallen on difficult times. Officer Wolfe found that the family could not afford to purchase school supplies.
On his own time, he purchased a backpack and school supplies for her to begin her school year. She and the family were appreciative of his generosity. The Police Department decided to post the story on Facebook, which did not go unnoticed by State Senator Darrel Steinberg’s office. The officer was formally acknowledged with a certificate from Steinberg’s office.
