Department of Transportation wins six public relations Cappie awards from Sacramento Public Relations Association
The City of Sacramento Department of Transportation took home six awards from the Sacramento Public Relations Association’s annual Cappie Awards dinner, March 28, one of only three among 25 organizations or public relations firms winning six or more. Cappies are awards for the “best of the best” in public relations plans and tools.
All awards were judged based on meeting strategic objectives, maximizing the budget, effectiveness and creativity.

Customer Service Recognition Program: You Got It Award Form, Director’s Award Form, Program Logo, Customer Service Wall of Fame, Director’s Award.
The program was developed to implement a device for employee customer service recognition for 413 employees in the Department of Transportation that would compliment the City Manager’s operating principles of “Get the Customer to Success” and “Value our Co-workers and Customers.”
