The City of Sacramento is beginning the final design for a new pedestrian/bicycle
overcrossing extending from the Sacramento City College Light Rail Station to the
Curtis Park neighborhood. If funding is secured, the new crossing could be constructed in 2014/15.
This project will:
- Improve access to public transit, pedestrian and bicycle commuting.
- Provide a convenient, intuitive and user friendly route for bicycle and foot traffic.
- Offer a new connection between Curtis Park and Land Park neighborhoods.

The environmental clearance will be finished in July. See the environmental report here.
The project team has identified a proposed alignment. To view the proposed alignment click here for Proposed Alignment map.
