Design Phase Begins!
The City of Sacramento is beginning the final design for a new pedestrian/bicycle overcrossing extending from the Sacramento City College Light Rail Station to the Curtis Park neighborhood. If funding is secured, the new crossing could be constructed in 2014/15.

This project will:

  • Improve access to public transit, pedestrian and bicycle commuting.
  • Provide a convenient, intuitive and user friendly route for bicycle and foot traffic.
  • Offer a new connection between Curtis Park and Land Park neighborhoods.

Feasibility Study Complete
In late spring 2009, the City of Sacramento completed a feasibility study for a new pedestrian/bicycle over-crossing. The proposed overcrossing will extend from the Sacramento City College Light Rail Station to the Curtis Park neighborhoods. The study examined possible alternatives and costs.

The environmental clearance will be finished in July. See the environmental report here.

The project team has identified a proposed alignment. To view the proposed alignment click here for Proposed Alignment map.
