  About the Caltrans Project

Repairs: Caltrans will replace pavement, improve drainage and install new de-watering wells
and monitoring equipment on I-5 between R Street and Richards Boulevard. Safety Improvement: The repairs will improve travel safety conditions on the "Boat Section" of I-5 by upgrading drainage systems and pavement.

Plan Ahead: Plan now to reduce the impact to your commute. Visit www.FixI-5.com to register for project email alerts, for links to Regional Transit and other transit providers, and to view live traffic cameras.

Call 511: When you're on the road, call 511 and select the "Sacramento's Fix I-5 Boat Section Project" option for updated traffic information.

• Avoid travel during peak times
• Try public transit, bicycling, ridesharing

Stay on freeway system to access downtown, and use Caltrans detours if downtown is not your final destination
