Pick Your Parking
Parking in downtown Sacramento is now easier, with lots of choices available. Take your pick from validated parking, pay machines, prepaid and metered parking. Whichever you choose, it all adds up to more convenient parking.
Motorcycle Parking
1. City parking Lot Y North and South, 3rd and O Streets – 6
spaces;
2. City parking Lot
D, 13th and I Streets – 2 spaces;
3. The entrance to
the City Hall garage, 10th and I Streets – 4 spaces;
4. By City Hall on
10th Street – 7 spaces;
5. In front of the
Hard Rock Cafe, 7th and K Streets – 3 spaces;
6. Near the entrance
to the City Memorial Garage, 15th and H Streets – 3 spaces;
7. Old Sacramento,
2nd and J Streets – 12 spaces;
8. 1026 L Street
(on the South side of L Street, West of 11th Street) - 4 spaces.
Validated Parking
City-operated parking facilities take validations from many downtown retailers and restaurants. Just look for the sign in the window of each participating merchant and be sure to ask for your validation when you make your purchase. Three and four hour parking validations are available at all Downtown Plaza Parking Garages by making a minimum purchase at participating Downtown Plaza Merchants.
No Attendant?
Not all parking facilities have an attendant. Some are equipped with payment machines. Please read and follow the payment instructions carefully before depositing your fee. We do check these facilities regularly, and will issue parking citations for unpaid parking.
The Meter's Running
There's plenty of metered parking on City streets, perfect for short-term parking. Meters take quarters only, and traffic officers strictly enforce time limits. Some meters take prepaid debit cards. For more information about on-street parking, call (916) 808-5354.
