Streetscape Maintenance is responsible for:

city-hired and licensed contractors for areas
that include:
- Landscaped & Non-Landscaped
Medians
- Special Districts
- City Facilities
- Unimproved Roadside Ditch
Maintenance
- City Roadside Sound Wall Maintenance
- Alley
Spraying Contracts
Within their daily activities, Streetscape staff is responsible for site inspection and contract compliance for the 435 acres of landscaping within the City of Sacramento. These include:
- 126 acres of landscaped median
- 127 acres of special districts and public land
- 182 acres of non-landscaped medians
In addition staff assures that all state, county and city mandates are adhered to.
As
part of Streetscape daily activities, a key role
is responding to Customer Service and Special Request
calls. These requests encompass a wide variety
of activities such as: water waste, vandalism,
damage control, neighborhood enhancements, city
council request and any unscheduled emergency work
and repairs.
As
part of Streetscape long range planning and budgeting
process, management and supervisory staff are required
to work with development and engineering to coordinate
new landscape enhancement projects. These activities
include plan, design and budget review; provide
landscape material recommendations; and perform
inspections and final walk-through on completed
projects. Additionally, Streetscape acts as a support
unit to project managers throughout the various
stages of construction.
Streetscape

construction of landscaped areas in North Natomas
