- 160 Pump Stations
- 3,988 miles of pipe
- 50,914 drain inlets
- 13 reservoirs
- 16,000 fire hydrants
- 2 closed landfills
Each year, the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities:
- Serves more than 480,000 customers
- Delivers more than 38 billion gallons of drinking water to customers
- Pumps more than 37 billion gallons of wastewater (sewage, combined sewage and stormwater)
- Collects more than 120,000 tons of garbage
- Collects more than 122,000 tons of materials that are recycled, composted or otherwise diverted from landfills
- Maintains more than 2,000 miles of water and sewer pipes
