Without knowing it, everyone purchases household products that have the potential to be dangerous. These common products include paints, household cleaners, garden products, detergents, pet care products and other such materials.

South Area: Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station, located at 8491 Fruitridge Road. Hours of operation are:

  • Tuesday - Thursday, from 8:00 AM -5:00 PM. Residents can only bring antifreeze, batteries, motor oil, filters, fluorescent lights and latex paint.
  • Friday - Saturday, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Residents can bring all hazardous materials.

This facility is closed on Sunday, Monday and all major holidays.

There is a charge for the following services:

Electronic Waste (E-Waste) is recycled at the Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station for a fee. Check the Electronic Waste page for information about free collection and drop off options.

The following charges to residents bringing HHW on Antifreeze, Batteries, Oil, and Paint days are:

With ABOP items $10.00 per visit
Without ABOP items $15.00 per visit

Gross Offender (residents transporting more than 125 pounds or 15 gallons of hazardous materials) $25.00 minimum per visit
