Utilities Rate Advisory Commission
The Sacramento City Council established the Utilities Rate Advisory Commission to be
- An avenue for residents to actively participate in setting rates
- A sounding board for proposed utility rate changes
- A ratepayer and expert advisory panel to the Mayor and City Council
- A community liaison that provides information about utility service rates and collects feedback from the public
About the Commission
The Utilities Rate Advisory Commission is made of seven members. Five member have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• accounting |
• auditing |
• construction management |
• engineering |
• environmental |
• finance |
• law |
• science |
• sewer collection and treatment |
• solid waste collection and disposal |
• storm drainage collection |
• water supply and distribution |
Additionally, there are two at-large members of the commission. Members serve on staggered two-year terms.
