Rate Structure

Residents are billed on a monthly basis for City of Sacramento Department of Utilities services. These charges can be found on your utility bill.

Your rates pay for, amongst other things, the services provided, improvements to our infrastructure, fuel, energy, chemicals, labor, mandated state and federal programs, and regulatory fees.

The rates charged to you each month are reviewed annually and rate increases are determined by Sacramento City Council.
