Flood Control Services

The Department of Utilities works year round to make sure pumps, pipelines, canals, and over 18 miles of levee are maintained to provide flood protection during heavy rainfall. In emergency situations, the Department is in communication with other agencies such as the Department of Water Resources, Department of Health Services, SAFCA, the County of Sacramento and various Reclamation Districts.
