Loose In The Street Collection 8 Times Per Year

You Have A Choice

three types of containers

"In a can" yard waste collection equals the following:

  • Cleaner streets
  • Reduces yard waste and pollutants in the storm drains.
  • Reduced impacts to City streets from collection equipment.
  • It's 24% less expensive than the loose in the street program.

The programs features:

  • Weekly collection utilizing a 96-gallon Yard Waste Container.
  • Loose-in-the-street collection during the following months:
    • January: Christmas Trees: Collection 2nd week of January
    • February: Pruning Season: Collection last week of February
    • May: Pruning Season: Collection last week of May
    • October: Leaf Season: Collection last week of October
    • November: Leaf Season: Collection every other week in November
    • December: Leaf Season: Collection every other week in December

Please follow these guidelines when placing containers out for collection:

  • It is prohibited to put loose in the street piles in the street, except during specified times of the year described above
  • Place containers at curb by 6:00 AM.
  • Allow three feet between containers.
  • Place containers six feet from cars, utility poles, mailboxes, boats, and other obstructions.
  • Place containers on the street, not on the sidewalk or in bike lanes.
