Councilman Eric Guerra and Mayor Darrell Steinberg Respond to Immigration Actions in Sacramento and Provide Updates on Immigrant Services
A public forum will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, for community stakeholders regarding immigration enforcement in Sacramento (a Safe Haven jurisdiction).
The update will include a presentation on the status of the Family Unity, Education, and Legal Network (FUEL Network), by the California Rural Legal Assistance Foundation staff; and a panel discussion on current immigration issues, including strategies for DACA recipients; Congressional action on DACA/TPS; federal litigation; and the status of immigration reform, including potential federal immigration legislation.
