Inaugural Mardi Paws Parade Benefitting the Front Street Animal Shelter

Join the fun as we celebrate the bond between pets and their people in style!

March 3, 2017

Sacramento's first ever Mardi Paws kicks off this Saturday March 4, 2017! The festivities begin at 11am with a parade through Old Sacramento led by a New Orleans style marching band, followed by a large crowd of costume-clad people and their pets! The procession begins at Front and L Street and culminates at the California Rail Road Museum lawn area. A festival style vendor area with event sponsors, food, drinks, and a doggy play zone will be available as we celebrate the human-animal bond. A variety of rescue organizations, along with Front Street residents will be on site for adoption.

This event is a collaboration between Old Town Sacramento, Fox40 Sacramento, and the Front Street Animal Shelter to bring a fun and unique experience to historic Old Sacramento for the regions many animal lovers.

All proceeds raised from parade tickets will benefit Front Street's Shelter pets. The City of Sacramento - Front Street Animal Shelter is grateful to the sponsors making this event possible: Lasher's Elk Grove Subaru, Councilmember Angelique Ashby, Kim Pacini-Hauch, VCA Animal Hospitals, and Fox40 Sacramento.
