ADOPT A PET
IMPORTANT NOTICE OF CHANGE
Due to a special event at the shelter, the Front Street Animal Shelter
will open at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 9
OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK FROM 12 PM - 5 PM
Walk-ins are welcomed. Please follow the process below.

Visit the shelter or view the animals online to find one you'd like to meet. |

Join our electronic waitlist using your phone and follow the instructions on signs in front of and throughout the shelter. |

Waitlist opens at 11:30 am and you must be at the shelter to join. |

Customers will be helped in the order they join the waitlist. If you need assistance adding yourself to the waitlist, ask our front desk staff for help. |

We recommend having more than one animal you're interested in meeting, in case your first choice is adopted by someone ahead of you in line. |

We are NOT able to facilitate meetings between owned dogs and adoptable dogs at this time. We can, however, make recommendations and give instructions for good introductions. |

Many of our adoptable animals are in foster care. Click on their photo to apply and be connected with their foster family! |

* SPECIAL ADOPTION FEE FOR HIGHLY ADOPTABLE PETS |
Dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens in high demand may have higher adoption fees. Charging higher fees for those in high demand helps fund animals with special needs and allows us to offer lower fees for animals who struggle to get adopted. An adoption counselor will let you know if a special adoption fee applies.
ADOPTION FEE WAIVED FOR MILITARY VETERANS |
Adoption fees are waived for any person who presents a current and valid driver's license or identification card with VETERAN printed on it. Each military veteran is allowed one (1) dog or puppy adoption and one (1) cat or kitten adoption every 6 months.
