If you have an animal-related issue and you are within the city limits of Sacramento, please contact the City of Sacramento 311 Call Center (24 hours a day / 7 days a week) by pressing "3 1 1". If you are unable to dial that number, please call 916-808-7387.
If you are outside the city limits of Sacramento, please call 916-264-5011.
If you are a TDD (Telecommunication Device for the Deaf) or TTY (Text Telephone) user, please call 916-808-8563.
You may email the City of Sacramento 311 Call Center at 311@cityofsacramento.org.
If you find a sick or injured animal and it is after-hours, you may contact the nearest veterinary hospital.
NOTE: Any medical expenses that you incur will NOT be reimbursed by the animal shelter or the City of Sacramento.
