Group Volunteer Projects

Volunteering with Friends can be fun!

Intel Volunteer Group

Do you have a group of friends, co-workers, or students who want to volunteer together for a service project?  We would love to have you here at Front Street!

Here's how it works:

  • We currently offer group volunteer opportunities on Friday, or Sunday mornings from 9 am to 12 noon. (We may be able to accommodate special date requests, but we cannot guarantee it.)
  • Ideal group size is 6-15 volunteers
  • All volunteers in the group must be age 12 or older and there must be at least one volunteer age 18 or older in the group. (Exception: student project groups with all volunteers age 16 or older may be accepted without an adult chaperone.)
  • All volunteers in the group must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants - please be prepared for the weather and dress accordingly
  • Group volunteers will not be interacting directly with or handling shelter animals! (You will get to see the shelter animals, but not handle them!) However, everything that you do makes a difference here at the shelter and ultimately helps us save more lives.

Here are some of the projects your group might help with:

  • Deep cleaning areas of the shelter, including washing windows!
  • Processing pet food in the pet food pantry
  • Organizing storage sheds
  • Washing dishes
  • Cleaning sidewalks
  • Assembling projects
  • And much, much more!!
