EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 3, 2022, REQUIRED ELECTRONIC SUBMITTAL FOR PRODUCTION PERMITS.

In May of 2021, at the request of our Developer partners, the City of Sacramento launched a streamlined process for electronic submittal and processing of production permit applications. Since the launch, many Developers have successfully taken advantage of the time savings this streamlined process offers.

Effective October 3, 2022, all production permit applications must be submitted electronically at: https://aca-prod.accela.com/sacramento/Default.aspx

Master Plan Application Process & Production Permit Automation Service

The City of Sacramento’s Building Division announced the development of its online production home permit process in 2021. The automation allows applicants to apply for production home permit applications online through a simple two-part process.

This innovative technology is based on the suggestions of our local production home developers which we heard loud and clear, and made happen. This process is one-of-a-kind and designed to make your permit application process quick and easy!

Applicants can submit and track their production home permits using the City’s online Citizen Portal.

How does the system work?

Part I: All Master Plan submissions must include completion of the following checklists:

Of importance, the options package tables within this application must also be included in the title sheet of the Master Plans under the project data summary section.

Part II: Once the Master Plans record is approved and completed as outlined in Part I, developers can apply for production permit applications online within a matter of minutes.

Virtual Training Opportunities

In May of 2021, staff hosted two online training sessions for home developers and permit processors wishing to learn more about the newly automated production permit system. Staff reviewed the benefits of the newly created automated features, submittal requirements, tracking submitted permit applications, departmental review timelines, approval notifications, and had a final segment for Q&A.
