Climate Action Plan Youth Engagement Program

In order to involve the younger generation in a dialogue about climate change, the GPU team founded a Youth Engagement Program. The Youth Engagement Program consisted of five individuals, or youth ambassadors, from all parts of Sacramento from 15 to 20 years of age. The youth ambassadors developed an informational video alongside an online questionnaire with the objective of informing the viewer of the major causes of greenhouse gases: transportation and energy use. The findings obtained from the questionnaire will help the City of Sacramento to develop a Climate Action Plan that meets the needs of all Sacramento citizens.
