January 18, 2022 - Vanguard announces changes to their Target Retirement Funds
On or about February 11, 2022, Vanguard will be reducing the expense ratio of all Target Retirement Funds from 0.09% to 0.08%, resulting in a reduction of costs to participants invested in these funds. There will be no changes to the allocation (mix of stocks/bonds), underlying securities (specific stocks/bonds), or Target Date year (example 2025, 2040, etc.). However, in order to make this fee reduction, Vanguard will be changing the ticker symbols for each fund. This change does not require any action by plan participants.
