Voluntary Benefits

The City of Sacramento offers employees and their eligible dependents the following voluntary benefit plans:

Flexible Spending Accounts for Medical and Dependent Care, participation must be renewed annually.

As of January 1, 2020, the City's FSA and DCAP provider is P&A Group.

Life Insurance and Short Term Disability - The Standard Insurance Company

Life Insurance. The City offers life insurance through The Standard. Coverage amounts and rates are determined by labor agreements, employee's salary, and age at time of enrollment.

Supplemental Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Employees can purchase additional supplemental life and AD&D.

Supplemental Choice Life and AD&D Employees can purchase additional supplemental life insurance up to three times their annual salary.

Additional Supplemental Life and AD&D Employees can purchase an additional $10,000 AD&D insurance.

Dependent Life Insurance Employees can purchase $2,000 or $5,000 life insurance for a spouse and/or child(ren).
