Reservation Information

The Joe Mims Jr. Hagginwood Community Center and Park is a centralized focal amenity of the Sacramento North Area.  Just off Interstate 80 and Marysville Blvd. the community center and park provide an array of programs, services, and activities for the entire family.  The large auditorium, outdoor patios, two meeting rooms and a warming kitchen are available to rent for a nominal fee.  The historical building provides programs for residents and non-residents of all ages from pre-school to active adults 50+.  Youth / Teen / Senior programs, field trips, and seasonal special events encompass our annual calendar with safe, fun and laughter for everyone to enjoy.  *Rental agreements, use application, fee information and rental guidelines are available online.  For more information or to speak with a member of our community center staff please call (916) 808-6439.

*Grantland Johnson All-weather field is a synthetic athletic field behind the community center. Field use and access is based on reservations ONLY!  Please contact the Reservations Office located at Coloma Community Center at (916) 808-6060 for more information and rental details. 


Practice: Monday – Friday. Games: Saturday
Boys and girls in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will learn the fundamental skills and strategies of basketball in this co-ed instructional league. Practices will be held 2 – 3 days each week and games will be on Saturdays. Yang Tai Chi
Tue and Thurs (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
Tai Chi is an internal martial art which uses the body’s own energy to protect and heal itself. It is taught in slow, highly effective movements which are accessible to many different people and ages. Class instructed by George A. Bonilla.

Meals on Wheels
Tue, Wed, and Thurs (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
This program is available to individuals 60 years old or better who are interested in getting out of the house and meeting others over a delicious hot lunch.

Rebellion Dogs AA
Thurs (6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.)
