Youth Academy

District Attorney Youth Academy:  The District Attorney Youth Academy is a program in partnership with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento County Probation Department, Rancho Cordova Police Department, Elk Grove Police Department and Galt Police Department

The District Attorney Youth Academy is a program is accepting applications. Eligible students can apply for either the South, North, East or Elk Grove/Galt area academy.  They must submit a completed application, signed permission slip and signed Code of Conduct agreement. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Download the flyer and application.

Summer @ City Hall

Sacramento Summer at City Hall Program participants

The Summer @ City Hall (S@CH) program is a collaboration between the City of Sacramento, Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD), Twin Rivers Unified School District (TRUSD), Natomas Unified School District (NUSD), and WayUp Sacramento. The program is open to all current high school sophomores and juniors of the 2016-2017 school year. Upon completion of the program students will receive 5 high school credits and a stipend.


#SacYouthWorks Youth Internship program is part of the Neighborhood Services "Building Sac Youth for Success" initiative which aims to give youth opportunities to do an internship with governmental agencies or local organizations. It is open to youth ages 16-24 years old. There are three separate cohorts for the internship program from June to August 2017.


Sacramento Youth Commission

The Sacramento Youth Commission was established by the Sacramento City Council to serve as an advisory group to provide recommendations on youth related issues in Sacramento. Since its original creation in 1993, the Sacramento Youth Commission has organized numerous public events, tackled crucial youth related issues, and worked hundreds of hours serving the Sacramento City community at-large.
