Pioneer Landing is a 2.33 acre park representing the Gold Rush when immigrants from around the world landed by boat in Sacramento and camped along the river bank. Also, Pioneer Box Company was located in the dock area near the park site. Pioneer Park will include the following amenities:
- Plaza
- Walkways
- Turf
- Landscaped Area with Large Shade Trees
- Raised "Ship Hull" Planters
- Benches
- Drinking Fountain
- "Art in Public Places" Shade Structure with LED lights and push button activated mister for summer cooling.
