CI – TriS: Community Integration – Therapeutic Recreation in Schools
This program provides monthly class sessions for your students that are designed by Access Leisure (including several recreational therapists). Sessions can include a variety of topics, activities, and skill building opportunities that cater to the needs of your students. Goal areas may include community integration, teamwork, social skills, communication skills, online safety, wellness, physical fitness, coping skills, and more.

For more information, email Heather Everett at heverett@cityofsacramento.org.

FAQs:
Q: How many students can come to each session? A: Please try to limit the attendance to no more than 40 students per session. More individualized programming can be provided to smaller groups.
Q: What if my district will only allow me to complete one registration, can I bring several classes? A: Yes. More than one class can attend a session, as long as the attendance does not surpass 40 students (some flexibility with this). You can also choose to send a different class each month.
Q: What if we go back to in-person classes this semester, will our registration be honored? A: Yes! We’ll work with each school/ program on a case-by-case basis if this occurs. Options may include continued virtual programs or in-person options based on the safety guidelines in place at the time.
Q: Do I provide the Zoom link, or does the City provide the Zoom link? A: Access Leisure staff will join you in YOUR Zoom room. Please plan to provide Access Leisure staff with the proper Zoom log-in information at least one week ahead of each scheduled session.
Q: When will my group receive activity information and documentation? A: You can expect an email and/ or call follow up from Access Leisure staff after you have registered for this program. Once a schedule is agreed upon, you will receive plans for the semester at least one week ahead of the first scheduled session. Monthly documentation will be provided within a week of the session for your convenience and planning purposes.
Q: I need help with the registration process, who do I call? A: For administrative assistance with your ActiveNet account, contact our registration team Monday – Thursday between 9am-4pm at (916) 808-6060. Be sure to have the activity number ready (15750). For general program questions and/ or exceptions, call Heather at (916) 808-7970, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm.
